[=======================================] [Mark McGwire Player Model for Half Life] [===============================================================] [INFO] Model Name : Mark McGwire Installation directory : ..\half-life\valve\models\player\mcgwire\ Author : David "DEfusion" Spurr Email Address : dave@daspurr.sofnet.co.uk or DEfusion@planetquake.com Web Page URL : http://www.daspurr.freeserve.co.uk/ Time taken : 10 hours Date : 1st November 1999 Polygons : 712 [===============================================================] [Description] This is my first attempt at model editing for any game, except following a quick tutorial, so excuse any errors. Anyway as you can tell this is Mark McGwire of the St Louis Cardinals... if you don't follow baseball, he's the guy who hit a record 70 home runs last year. I decided to make this model as an introduction to modelling so that I had some reference materials to work from b4 I started making strange and different models from scratch with little or no reference materials. There are some problems with some of the animations, I tried my best to sort them out but mainly I think the arms will need totally re-building to rectify the problems with them, whereas the other animation problems, I.e. the thighs slighty dissappearing into the pelvis when the model jumps seems to be a common error, as it's even there in the Valve Gordon player model... I tried to minimize this and other animation errors as best I could as I say.. and it doesn't look too bad. Also the colour sliders in the multiplayer config don't change much as I didn't want the uniform to change colour.. so only his T-Shirt changes colour. And the textures are not as good as I would have liked, drawing with a mouse is as hard as it sounds.
