Blindeye Model for Half-Life Copyright © 1999 Jiovanie Velazquez Author: Jiovanie "Squirmy" Velazquez--All modeling and textures E-Mail: jiovanie@hotmail.com ICQ: 17461654 (Don't contact through ICQ without a good reason! I am a rather busy carbon-based "life" form) Webpage: Dont have one personally, but check out http://www.volition-inc.com/ Model Name: Blindeye Version: 1.0 Relaese Date: 4/19/99 Total Size: 198kB Polygons: 628 Vertices: 328 Texture Size: 193KB (Deal with it! It wont make THAT much of a difference :) adn if it does, then I'll fix it... Team Colors: No. Animations: Standard DM Player Animations--No need to change them, they're good enough... Build Time: who knows... If I'da thought about it I would have kept track... Programs Used: 3D Studio MAX R2.5,Photoshop 5 Known bugs: Very SLIGHT distortion in an area or two, but nothing drastic. I was expection worse considering it is a single mesh from head to toe to arm to wrist. I didnt cop out like certain modelers with "plumbing parts stuck in various parts of their heads" by making the arms and hands seperate parts! =) Description: This little model was supposed to be a kick-ass prisoner for a Half-Life mod that SEEMS to have fallen through the cracks... I decided to take my hard work and put it out for free deathmatch luvin'. The prisoner has restraints on his arms and legs, handy for being tied down to stuff like all prisoners should be :) He is wearing "armor" because he was (according to the mod) supposed to be a prisoner of the future where they are pitted against each other in Gladiator-style combat. He has metal visors over his eyes so he can't see whenever the warden doesnt want him to see (ie. escape attempts or just plain ol' shipping the priz to another penitentiary (sp?)). Inside the visor are LCD screens that send a signal to the prisoner's eyes from the camera mounted on his forehead. Blah blah blah... stopped thinking, brain taking break, filling space to look more "thought out" :) This model is Copyrighted by me, Jiovanie Velazquez. If you want to use this model or need one custom built for a MOD, then contact me. Enjoy! Installation: Put all files (blindeye.mdl, blindeye.bmp) in half-life\valve\models\player\blindeye directory Thanks MOST definitely go to Scarecrow (scarecrow@dial.pipex.co.uk) who set the dude up with character studio and attached all the animations and exported the model and everything else he did to it so that it can work in the game... otherwise it would never have happened. More thanks to Mist (clan-buddy) for thinking up the name for Blindeye... I suck at naming things and he came up with a cool one. Yet more thanks to my buddies and co-clan members of BMA (Black Mesa Assasins), they sure do make a killin' !! Try this link... http://fly.to/bma if that fails (for some ungodly reason), then just go to ... http://www.angelfire.com/mb/SmilzPage2/index.html
